Privacy

Last updated

marajacu.com is the website of MARAJACU, a pinball game in development. This page explains what the site collects when you visit it, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only: the game will have its own privacy policy, published here before it is released.

The short version

Who is responsible

The data controller is G NETWORKS (SIREN 753 647 585), 100 rue Vulfran Warme, 80000 Amiens, France. For anything about your data, write to hello@marajacu.com.

What is collected, and why

Visit statistics

To know how many people visit and what they read, we use Umami, an open-source analytics tool running on our own server, hosted by Scaleway SAS in France. When a page loads, your browser sends it the page's address and the page you came from (both without anything after a ? or a #, so nothing you put in a link reaches us), your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language. Your IP address is used to work out an approximate location (country, region, city) and a visitor code: a one-way hash of your IP address and browser with a salt that changes every month, so visits can be counted without knowing who you are. The IP address itself is not stored.

No cookie is set, nothing is written to your device, and you are not followed across other sites. If your browser sends Do Not Track, nothing is sent at all. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding the audience of our own site (GDPR article 6(1)(f)). The statistics stay on our server, are never shared, and are kept only while they help us compare the site's audience over time.

Server logs

The site is served by Netlify, Inc.. To deliver pages and protect the service, Netlify processes technical data about each request, including your IP address, the address requested, your browser and the time. It does so on our behalf, in the United States, under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, in which Netlify participates (see Netlify's privacy policy). Netlify keeps these logs for as long as it needs to run and secure its service, as its privacy policy sets out; we do not export or keep them. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in delivering the site and keeping it secure.

Email

If you write to us, we use your message and address only to answer you and follow up, and keep them as long as that takes. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to the people who contact us.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or erase data about you, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable form. Visit statistics are not linked to a name, so we usually cannot single out your visits; Do Not Track keeps them from being recorded at all. Write to hello@marajacu.com. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr), the French data protection authority.

Changes

When this policy changes, the new version is posted here with its date.
